What is an Ayurvedic Practitioner?

An Ayurvedic Practitioner is someone  that studies and  embraces the principles of the Tri-Dosha and Sub-Dosha theories for use within one’s way of life.  One who chooses to serve others as a facilitator, coach,  a guide without sacrificing self or others. They have genuine sincerity and care for the well being of others. They are examples of the integration of mind-body and spiritual well being. One who lives by the laws of nature and creates perfect health thru the use of herbs, lifestyle changes, and foods. Some practitioners may also have completed 500 hours or more and have gone through the requirements to be a part of various Ayurvedic practitioner listings. Some Ayurvedic practitioners also get specialized training to do Pancha Karmas. Today in the United States we have many schools, apprenticeships (guru kula), and other forms of learning for Ayurveda .
