Teachers:

Deva has been practicing Yoga & Pilates since 2001 and began teaching Pilates in 2004 after being NY Certified in a 600 hour apprenticeship program for Joseph Pilates’ most authentic method known as Romana’s Pilates.  The following year Deva was NAMA certified to be an Ayurvedic Clinical Consultant and was also inspired to start teaching Yoga.

Over the years Deva has come to develop a style of Yoga known as Prema Yoga, bridging the mind to the Spiritual Heart.  The name Prema Yoga is sanskrit for Union with Divine Love and was inspired by an exchange between Mahavatar Babaji and Donald Schnell in Schnell’s autobiography, The Initiation.  In this style of Asana (postures) Yoga, Deva’s aim is to bring meditation of one’s Spiritual Heart into present moment awareness through movement and the ancient Asanas.

During the practice of Prema Yoga, Deva draws on his influences of Authentic Pilates, Ashtanga Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Aaron Mattes’ Stretching Techniques and Mahavatar Babaji’s Sun Salutation which is the original sun salutation Asana Yoga has stemmed from.  The practitioner of Prema Yoga will learn to balance his/her mood and present state through the breath and certain Asanas while also creating better body-alignment, strengthening the core & rehabilitating or preventing injuries.  Please feel free to contact Deva regarding any questions about Prema Yoga, Ayurveda, Kirtan (Yoga through singing) or Meditation, just some of the loves and passions in his life :) .  954-923-4444

Light has been practicing Yoga for over 50 years and teaching for over 35.  Her main influence is Yogi Bhajan who is the Yoga Master that brought Kundalini Yoga to the west.  Light personally learned from Yogi Bhajan and since then has developed her own style of Yoga known as Jyoti Yoga that blends Kundalini, Hatha & Ayurveda.  Her many years of practice and teaching come through in her class.

Rev Adriana Hari Gobind Kaur, IKYTA I Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is an ordained Interfaith Minister with the Alliance of Divine Love, a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, AromaTherapist and Metaphysician, with primary focus on Self-Healing.  Having explored the world of yoga for two decades, her enthusiasm, love and respect for the practice comes thru in every class.  In search for healing her body and strengthening her immune system she initially discovered the science of yoga as a teenager and educated herself in the lifestyle of a yogi, primarily within the vinyasa system and later receiving formal training in Kundalini Yoga technology.  Hari Gobind also offers intuitive readings and holistic healing to assist in the areas of personal growth and conscious spiritual expansion.

Nadia grew up in France and moved to South Florida in 2002.  Curiosity led her to take her first yoga class and she realized that the philosophy and practice of Yoga was an instant match.   Her journey had begun.  What started as a healthy release from daily stress quickly grew to a spiritual journey and an awareness of body, mind and spirit.  Her passion for Yoga evolved and became a way of life.  She noticed such an impact her practice was having off the mat.  She realized she wanted to share this gift of Yoga and its healing powers so she decided to become a Certified Yoga Teacher.

Her style involves a gently intense flow of postures that really allows the practitioner to connect and feel the calming gift that yoga has on the mind while at the same time increasing strength, suppleness and flexibility in the muscles and joints of the body.  She draws on the influence of Ashtanga yet focuses on moving with presence, breathing deeply and continuously and strengthening the connection between the mind, body and spirit.
